This month’s guests Colin and Eric Jacobsen co-founded the genre-defying string quartet Brooklyn Rider with friends Johnny Gandelsman and Nick Cords. NPR credits the group with “recreating the 300-year-old form of string quartet as a vital and creative 21st-century ensemble.”
Enjoy this excerpt from their performance of Philip Glass’ “Mishima,” a selection from their acclaimed album Brooklyn Rider Plays Philip Glass. Tune in tonight at 11pm EST on Sirius XM Pops to hear them talk about playing this piece and more as part of their diverse repertoire.
